As the area's largest local community-owned nonprofit healthcare organization, we honor our mission with donations, community outreach, scholarship programs, volunteerism, and much more. We provided $62 million in charity care last year. We support over 125 civic and nonprofit groups. Our school-to-work partnerships include tours, job shadows, classroom speakers and internships. We partner with community groups to expand and support access to public health services for the uninsured and under-insured. Legacy is the largest community-owned nonprofit healthcare system in Oregon. Legacy has trained the parents of 7,000 babies to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome. Legacy Caregiver Services has a nationally recognized program to help people with chronic illness and those who care for them.
